ON April 9 and 10 the family-run Val Wyatt Marine in Wargrave is opening its doors to all for an open weekend celebrating the start of the boating season.
Over the two days the marina right on the bank of the River Thames — just two miles from Henley — will be showcasing its new and used boats and offering a wonderful array of local refreshments to enjoy in partnership with on-site farm shop the Local Larder.
If you’re interested in boating and are thinking that you may like your own boat to explore the tranquillity of the river, the weekend will be an excellent opportunity for you to get a close look at all the craft that are currently available and what marina life is like.
You’ll also get a first look at the new models that are coming out this year, by boat builders such as the award winning Interboat.
These open day boats are now regular sights in Henley and the surrounding areas.
The new Intender 820 is the latest model and offers vast seating space as well as that all important toilet (a particularly important feature where Henley Regatta and Henley Festival are concerned).
