Business needs more help says MP

JOHN HOWELL has urged the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership to do more for Henley.

The Henley MP met chief executive Nigel Tipple on Friday after expressing concern that the partnership was not doing enough for businesses in his constituency but focusing its attention elsewhere.

He also complained that the partnership failed to send a representative to last month’s summit meeting on a third Thames crossing.

On Monday, Mr Tipple submitted a report to the Government on growth funding needs in the county.

Mr Howell said: “I made a strong case and they heard it. How much of that they will have been able put in the report I don’t know but I’m optimistic.
