HENLEY MP John Howell is stand again at the next general election.

The South Oxfordshire Conservative Association has chosen him to be its candidate for the poll, which is likely to be in 2015.

Chairman Mike Moody said: “I am delighted that John has been re-adopted.

“He is a good and hard-working MP. He has proved his capability here and in Westminster and we look forward to continue working with him.”

Mr Howell said: “I am pleased to have been re-adopted and thank the executive council for its support and encouragement. There is much work to do and knowing that I have the association alongside me is important as we move forward.”

Mr Howell was first elected in a 2008 by-election following the resignation of Boris Johnson and was re-elected at the general election in 2010.
