TWO former Henley Residents’ Group councillors have been confirmed as Conservative Party candidates for the elections in May.

Mayor Martin Akehurst and Councillor Dieter Hinke were elected at the annual meeting of the Henley branch of the Conservatives held at King’s Arms Barn on Friday. The pair have switched to the Conservative party after quitting HRG in December, as the

Henley Standard

Councillor David Nimmo Smith, who was elected branch chairman, said, “We welcome Councillors Akehurst and Hinke to our list of candidates for May, where they offer additional sporting and planning experience. We will also be fielding a number of new and exciting candidates.”
