I AM 63 and live in Henley town centre. I recently retired from a career in financial  services.
Since moving to Henley seven years ago, I have involved myself in the community by being an an active volunteer at the Kenton Theatre and also with Henley Wildlife Group.
I am currently researching the history of the River Thames along with its locks and weirs with a view to publishing my findings in due course.
I am standing for election to the town council because I would like to have my views reflected in council policies and actions that contribute to environmental improvements, in particular air pollution.
I would like to see a survey conducted to ascertain the sources of the pollution so that we can consider effective, evidence–based remedies.
I am also keen to encourage the development of affordable housing, particularly for young people.
