Prospective councillor - David Eggleton

I AM a local man, a husband, father and grandfather.

I AM a local man, a husband, father and grandfather.

I have only ever lived in Henley and on the Gainsborough estate for the last 22 years, so I have seen a lot of changes, some for the good and some not so good.

If something needs doing I will try my hardest to get it done. I feel my input would be beneficial to Henley Residents’ Group as I am wholly “for the people” – Henley’s version of Citizen Smith, if you like!

As for politics, I have no leanings. The Conservatives did ask me to be one of their candidates but my experience with Gainsborough Residents’ Association has taught me that national politics have no relevance to how Henley is run.

It’s about knowing and understanding the needs of fellow residents and then following through with the relevant council officers, whether at town, district or county level. If you are friendly and persuasive, you can get a lot done without the need to bang on about politics.

Henley residents are a varied mixture of people and should I be chosen as an HRG councillor I will do my utmost to work with these residents to help build a better town and community for everyone. I will try my hardest to get things done.
