I AM 56 with a large family (well, most of them are not “children” any more) and run an organic farm in Goring Heath.
I am also founder and director of biomass company Oxford Renewables.Â
I have been a member of the Green Party since the Seventies and have been involved in organic farming, woodland management and nature conservation all that time.
With a degree in environmental archaeology, I have a good understanding of the issues involved in achieving sustainable land use.Â
Currently global land use change is racing towards the destruction of the world’s biodiversity and the pollution of our land, air and water is a major factor in climate change.Â
Green Party policies aim to change the way we relate to the natural world, to make a better society now and forever, for everyone.  Â
Local authorities can help to change this through planning policy, transport provision and waste management and by putting sustainability at the heart of all decision–making.
