Prospective councillor - Dieter Hinke

I AM chairman of the town council’s planning and neighbourhood plan governance committees and a member

I AM chairman of the town council’s planning and neighbourhood plan governance committees and a member of the town and community committee.  I have represented the town council on the Henley Wildlife Group and the charity Nomad.

I am member of the Bell Street patients’ panel and representative on the south–east locality forum.

I was proud to be elected chairman of AFC Henley, a children’s football club with more than 300 members, and can still be seen refereeing most Saturday mornings.

I have lived in Henley for 39 years and throughout that time have always had a keen interest in making sure our kids, and adults, have the right provisions  to play all sports.  I have campaigned strongly for improvements to sports facilities and will continue to do so if re–elected.

I have worked hard over the last four years for a very special town and am standing again as I know that Henley will face great challenges ahead.  The neighbourhood plan will allocate the 450 housing sites but it will take firm negotiation with the district and county councils to make sure that infrastructure and traffic issues are properly addressed for the benefit of Henley. I believe that I can be effective in that process and continue to work with my many other areas of interest.
