Prospective councillor - Sarah Abey

I AM a relative newcomer to Henley and the things that drew me to this town

I AM a relative newcomer to Henley and the things that drew me to this town are very much the bedrock of HRG’s philosophy.

A local community deserves a council where party polarisation takes a back seat and what matters is a balance of expertise and experience shared among people with a genuine and wholehearted love for their town.

My background and enthusiasm can complement the abilities and knowledge of my HRG colleagues on the council and help us to best represent the interests and priorities of residents.

My professional life has encompassed managing a busy legal office, guiding the implementation of legal practice standards, assisting with UK judicial reviews and, more recently, in parallel with running my own business, I have been involved in committees and advisory panels concerned with practical approaches to ethical supply chains in the global market.

HRG’s backing for the skate park, better local public transport and Townlands Hospital are exactly the sort of positive thinking that I admire and will champion.

There are so many opportunities for Henley that I am eager to help pursue, from improving sports facilities to lessening traffic fumes.
