I HAVE lived in Henley for 14 years since returning to the UK from Hong Kong in the mid–Nineties. I am married with two grown–up children and two grandchildren.
I am a graduate electrical engineer with a postgraduate diploma in nuclear technology and am a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
After serving as an engineering officer in nuclear and conventional submarines in the Royal Navy, I have held international sales, marketing and general management positions. My most recent activities have been introducing UK and US–based wireless technology companies to north–east Asia.
I have taken a keen interest in local politics since becoming aware of the neighbourhood plan in 2013. To ensure that I can be fully committed to the duties of a town councillor and to better understand local government prior to seeking election, I have regularly attended, as a member of the public, town, district and county council meetings as well as neighbourhood plan meetings.
My key interests are transport and education. I am a committee member of the Henley Branch Users Group, lobbying at the highest levels to improve reliability and frequency of trains on the Henley branch line.
