I LIVE in Northfield End with my wife Clare and our son Archie, two. I was commissioned from Sandhurst into the army, seeing active service in Afghanistan, Iraq and Northern Ireland. In Afghanistan I received a commendation for excellence from the general commanding NATO forces. I now work in the software industry for a large multinational corporation near Reading.
My interests are golf, skiing, tennis and rugby. I am a keen supporter of Henley Hawks (especially as my house overlooks the pitch). I also fund–raise for a number of military charities such as Give Us Time and the Afghan Trust.
I love living in Henley and want to ensure that everything we treasure is protected so it continues to thrive and prosper. Security and safety are my principal concerns so I will campaign to improve the safety of residents, pedestrians and shoppers in Henley through a “Twenty’s Plenty” speed limit as well as new solar–powered pedestrian crossings. These are especially needed in Bell Street and Northfield End for the safety of the school children.
I will campaign for continued sustainable investment in our parks and meadows and to reduce the pollution and traffic congestion caused by the through–traffic of HGVs.
