Licensing:

Millars Kitchen Ltd has applied for licences to serve alcohol seven days a week and put on entertainment from Monday to Saturday at its Windsor branch.

Millar’s Eatery, at 43 St Leonards Road, is one of two branches owned by Millar’s Kitchen – the other is based in Marlow.

The company said on its website: “At Millar’s Windsor, our freshly prepared brunch and lunch menu is inspired by world flavours.”

Its application asks for approval from the council to sell alcohol from Monday to Saturday, between 12pm and 11pm, and on Sunday from 12pm to 10.30pm.

An additional bid seeks to permit ‘regulated entertainment’ from 7pm until 10.30pm, Monday to Saturday.

Road closures:

The Royal Borough council has issued notice that part of Clewer New Town will close for two days in early November to allow for electricity works.

The road, from 24 Clewer New Town to the dead end, will close between 9am and 4pm on Monday, November 3, and the following day.

Another closure will come into effect in the Clewer area on November 3, the Royal Borough has said.

Hatch Lane, between its junctions with Clewer Hill Road and Firs Avenue, will close from midnight on that Monday until midnight on Monday, November 17.

A diversion will be in place during the closure, which is needed to allow water works to be carried out.

Slough Borough Council has also warned drivers of a closure in Reddington Drive in Slough, from its junction with Wilford Road to Darrell Close.

The closure will come into force from midnight on Thursday, December 4, and is expected to last until Saturday, December 6.

The council said the closure was needed to allow for roadworks.
