Henley’s junior quad crew triumphs at Burway Head

A HENLEY Rowing Club junior crew triumphed at last Sunday’s Burway Head race.

Henley entered crews from the masters and younger juniors in several divisions at the Staines section of the Thames race over the 3,000m course.

In good conditions the Henley quad of Tabitha Hall, Freya Weiser, Gwennie Hunter, Florence Lenthall and cox Katia Loggie won the WJ13 event beating the Henley B crew of Emily Simmons, Ella Dickson, Ella Presswell, Evie Bell and cox Esme Davis into second place who in turn had a decisive margin over third placed Guildford Rowing Club.

In WJ14 double sculls Amelia Sterjo and Ava Timms, in only their second race, had a good row to finish third in their category that had one of the largest entries.
