SHIPLAKE College’s J16 eight triumphed at the Teddington Head held on the Hampton Court stretch of the Thames over the 5.2km course last weekend.
The eight of Miley Vann, S Lee, Flynn Burrow, Bengy Maggs, James Weeks, Joe Swankie, Franco Bigmore-Wallace, Luke Leamon and Theo Berry beat seven other crews to claim first place in their event.
The J16 quad also put in a strong performance, finishing third in their category.
In the open eight event, the boys’ eights secured first, third and seventh places while the girls’ eights competed fiercely in the women’s eights B event to finish in fourth and sixth place.
