Mixed fortunes

HENLEY U13s faced tough fixtures in an away triangular fixture against Witney and Oxford at Witney.

With the majority of the current Oxfordshire County U13 squad coming from these three clubs it was always expected to be a tough fixture.

The Henley A team opened up against Witney A and it was soon clear that, on the full size pitch, the Henley team had too much pace for the home team.

Jerome Rocks and Hector Elrington scored from deep on a number of occasions and every time Henley switched the direction of play they substantially outnumbered their opposition with the end score being a comfortable 40-0 to Henley.

The Henley B team had a tough fixture against Witney B where the forwards struggled to get clean ball to the backs who had the edge out wide.
