HENLEY HAWKS? Division 2 South promotion hopes took a knock after they crashed to a 19-15 defeat at Launceston?s Polson Bridge ground on Saturday.

The visitors were leading 15-3 at half-time with Danny Wells scoring two tries, one of which he converted, and a penalty.

However, in the second half, the hosts hit back and, coupled with several controversial refereeing decisions, managed to the reverse the deficit.

The defeat leaves the Hawks in second place but they are now six points in arrears of Worthing and six points ahead of Redruth who have two games in hand.
