Spitfires undefeated at tri-tournament

HENLEY U11s entered two sides into Windsor’s triangular tournament against the hosts and Beaconsfield last Sunday.

HENLEY U11s entered two sides into Windsor’s triangular tournament against the hosts and Beaconsfield last Sunday.

The Henley Spitfires started strongly beating Beaconsfield A team 5-1 where Morgan MacRae was the standout forward with strong running while Jack Potter at scrum half made a number of sharp and telling breaks.

The second game saw the Spitfires win 5-0 against Windsor A with all players committing well to the breakdown and tackle. The Henley Hurricanes’ faced Windsor A first and apart from a number of missed tackles they competed well before going down 4-0 to a stronger and more experienced side.

The Hurricanes second game was against Beaconsfield B which saw Jake Elliot impress in the forwards with good tackling and carrying. Ted Wilson also had a good game as fullback with some lengthy breaks as the match ended 1-1.
