Ever-present Dwyer awarded

HENLEY Rugby Club held their annual player of the season awards following the Hawks’ title-winning win over Worthing.

HENLEY Rugby Club held their annual player of the season awards following the Hawks’ title-winning win over Worthing.

Liam Dwyer, who played all 28 matches for the Hawks in their promotion campaign, received the player of the year award. Dwyer played most of his games as hooker but also appeared at number seven and flanker.

The supporters player of the year award went to joint top try scorer, Robbie Stapley. The number eight scored 19 tries for the Dry Leas club.

Hooker Nathan Morris, who is dual registered with London Wasps, was named Wasps academy player of the year.

The Henley Bulls player of the year went to Adam Lubbock. The Hawks 3rds player of the year accolade went to Jimmy Wright while Simon Annan picked up the Hawks 4ths award.

Ann-Marie Solowin won the Hawks Women’s player of the year award while Eleanor Forbes took the players player of the year award and Carly Dudding the most improved player of the year.
