In soggy conditions the early arrival of rain, wind and low temperatures meant that free flowing rugby would be tough to achieve.
The first game against New Hall School saw the Oratory make light of adverse weather conditions, running in eight tries as they won 46- 0.
Seaford College were a stiffer challenge as the Oratory went down to a 26-12 defeat. This placed the Oratory second in their group and matched them with St Johnâ??s School, Leatherhead. At full-time the score was 17-17 with the game going into sudden death overtime. A mistake at the restart led to St Johnâ??s gaining possession and scoring in the corner, to win the game.
This meant the Oratoryâ??s final game of the day would be the trophy final against Shiplake College.
Shiplake started well but having conceded the first try their heads dropped and the Oratory went on win 39-5.
Sam Page and Max Clementson both scored a hat-trick of tries while Sam Page finished top try scorer of the day.
