Hawks secure final spot

HENLEY HAWKS U14s secured a place in the Oxfordshire Plate final with a comprehensive 58-0 drubbing

HENLEY HAWKS U14s secured a place in the Oxfordshire Plate final with a comprehensive 58-0 drubbing of Chinnor on Sunday.

A strong pack of forwards dominated the set pieces and provided the base for some fast and enterprising opportunities for the back line.

A true team effort resulted in good support play and the backs were clinical in their finishing which contributed to 11 tries in total for the Hawks.

Charles Tchen scored a hat-trick while Charlie Bindley-Ross scored two tries on his return to the squad from injury. Other try scorers included Oscar James, Tom Grenfall, Rufus Larkin, Oliver Beaumont, Dan Nice and Zac Nearchou.

The final against Witney U14s will be played at Dry Leas on Sunday, kick-off 11.45am.
