Abbey to step up title chase

ABBEY travel to fifth placed Beaconsfield tomorrow (Saturday), kick-off 3pm, aiming to take another step towards securing promotion.

With four games left to go, Abbey need two wins to secure the title. However those four teams are all in the top half of the league and each are more than capable of causing upsets, so Abbey will not be taking anything for granted.

Mathematically Aylesbury, with the easier run-in, can still catch them, despite them being 15 points behind.

First time round against Beaconsfield, Abbey took the honours 22-3 at Rosehill, a flattering scoreline thanks to two late tries from Aaron Ross. Ootherwise the hosts field one of the tightest defences in the league.
