A PRIMARY school in Henley is celebrating the success of its head boy and head girl who have both won places at prestigious grammar schools.
Sacred Heart Primary School pupils Alex Tams, 11, and Holly Thompson, 10, will join Reading School and Kendrick School respectively.
The youngsters, who both live in Binfield Road in Henley, had to sit entrance exams to gain their places.
Holly’s father, Luke Thompson, who is also a governor at the Greys Hill school, said: “It is a great achievement that two pupils have got in to very competitive and selective grammar schools.
“At Kendrick School, only about 10 per cent of children who sit the exam are given places and I think it is a similar figure at Reading School.”
