Generation gap filled with fun day

Generation gap filled with fun day

SHIPLAKE Village Nursery welcomed members of the village’s Rosemary Club group for the over-60s.

Taking their lead from the Channel 4 show Old People’s Home for Four-Year-Olds, the nursery organised the getting-to-know-you day when the adults and toddlers enjoyed arts and crafts and singing together.

Rosemary Club manager Sharon King said: “Our members were absolutely buzzing when they left, telling everyone about the little children. I just hope the children had as much fun as we did. We can’t wait to do it again.”

Holly Ackroyd, acting manager of the nursery, said: “The children loved all the extra attention. It will really help with their understanding of the wider world.”
