Chairman to stand down

THE chairman of Shiplake Parish Council is to step down after 10 years.

Tudor Taylor, who joined the council in September 2009, will leave at the parish’s annual meeting next month.

He called his tenure “really enjoyable yet challenging” and thanked his colleagues, parish clerk Roger Hudson and the residents.

Councillor Taylor added: “I am very confident that the parish council is in a strong place to move forward and that it will continue to do what it can to protect and enhance our lovely villages.”
