Top two lose out

LEAGUE leaders Trinity Hall and second placed Harpsden retained their positions in the Henley and District

LEAGUE leaders Trinity Hall and second placed Harpsden retained their positions in the Henley and District League despite both losing their recent round of matches.

With four weeks remaining in the season the top four sides are separated by just seven points.

Trinity Hall went down 5-4 against Earley HG while Harpsden lost 6-5 at Park Institute B. Elsewhere Ivy Leaf B beat Twyford B 8-3, Park Institute A beat Twyford A 7-4 and Ivy Leaf A beat Berks CS 7-3.

After 14 matches played, the league standings are as follows: 1 Trinity Hall, 82 points; 2 Harpsden, 77; 3 Earley HG, 75; 4 Park Inst B, 75; 5 Ivy Leaf A, 74; 6 Park Inst A, 69; 7 Berks CS, 66; 8 Twyford A, 64; 9 Twyford B, 61; 10 Ivy Leaf B, 59.
