Juniors are pipped a the post on countback

HENLEY junior squash team played their second fixture against Wycombe Juniors, a team against whom they recorded a handsome victory at the end of 2013.

They assembled a different team to the last match with two groups. Group One comprised Jake Ireland, Beth Ireland and Tom Lynskey, while Group Two was made up of Jack Lynskey, Luca Babb and Ewan McCracken.

The Wycombe team also had a couple of changes which made them a stronger side than before.

Throughout the afternoon the match score was very close and at the end of the day the overall score in matches was 9-9 but after a countback on the number of games, the prize was awarded to Wycombe as they defeated Henley 24-19 in games across the 18 matches.

It was a really close-fought competition with some great matches in both groups.
