Morris dancer goes all disco

DANNY GIANI has been doing discos for about three years now, and enjoys it immensely.

“I started off doing themed parties for birthdays, Halloween and so on, but have branched out into school discos, adults’ parties and even karaoke now,” he says.

When asked how the parties compare to teaching, Danny laughs.

“There are some similarities. I suppose in teaching though, you can plan a series of lessons and repeat them with different classes, with the parties each one is different. I’ll work closely with the customer so I can tailor it to their tastes.”

When asked what the difficulties are, he says: “Vetting the music takes a lot of time. Having to turn down bookings is especially hard, but unfortunately it’s only me and some times of year are busier than others.”
