Seeing the world differently

LOOKING for something different this summer? Want to see the world from a new angle? Why not learn to fly a glider? Be the envy of your friends as you discover aviation’s best kept secret — the adventure of unpowered flight.

Gliding offers a range of experiences including racing competitions, expeditions to other clubs here and abroad, and aerobatics — as well as just enjoying the view.

Just up the road at Wycombe Air Park is Booker Gliding Club where you can fly in a two-seater training glider with one of the club’s fully-qualified instructors. Anyone can enjoy gliding, it’s not much more difficult than driving a car, and it’s the purest, most natural way to fly.

You can sample a single flight, with the opportunity to try your hand at the controls, or book one of our range of courses including the five-day holiday course which will get you well on the way to flying solo. You will be welcome whether you come on your own or with friends. Booker Gliding Club operates seven days a week, and also on some weekday evenings right up to sunset — what better way to end a summer’s day?
