ATHLETES from Henley Swimming Club picked up numerous first place finishes and personal best times in round two of the three-round Chiltern League competition last Saturday at Leighton Buzzard.
Only one disqualification meant the team overall was accurate with their swimming but Henley missed out on a higher place finish for the team by getting too many speeding tickets. Speeding tickets are handed out when a swimmer swims faster than the time bracket for their race.
First place swims came from Harrison Bell in the boys’ 100m freestyle, Adam Herbert in the boys’ 50m breaststroke, Emily Rex in the girls’ 50m freestyle, Callum Davidson in the boys’ 50m freestyle, Jemima Butterworth in the girls’ 50m backstroke, Emmy Gallagher in the girls’ 50m backstroke and Adam Herbert in the boys’ 50m breaststroke.
There was also first place finishes for the Henley relay teams in the girls 4x25m special medley, boys 4x25m special medley and girls and boys 4x25m freestyle.
