HENLEY Synchronised Swimming Club came away with silver medals from last Saturday’s annual South East and London Region Championships held at Croydon’s Trinity School pool.

Henley, along with Portsmouth Victoria, were the only two clubs that were able to enter teams in three of the four different age categories.

The 13/14 team comprising Victoria Taylor, Catherine Shearman, Courtney Moorhouse, Alina Budden, Louise Griffin, Chelsea Holliday, Holly Harrison, Elizabeth Livesey and Hannah Craig had one of their best swims this year and came away with the silver, missing gold by a mere 0.42 marks.

The 15/16/17 team of Anne Bloemsma-Goettsch, Cara Williams, Charlotte Patrick, Harriet Parfitt, Millie Edwards, Poppy Gray, Rosalia Scozzafava, Stephanie Ridge and Sydney Bautista also came home with the silver in their age category.

The U12 team narrowly missed the bronze, but had good marks from all but one of the judges, having been ranked by three out of the seven for the silver medal.
