WITH one week to go of the Reading and District League season there is still all to play for for many of the Sonning Common and Peppard teams.
The A team suffered a surprise 6-4 defeat at Our Lady of Peace C in Division 1. Jason Roberts lost out to Harry Brough but Simon Berry had two wins and Paul Jarvis maintained his good recent form with a single.
The B team lost 8-2 against Tidmarsh A with Keith Swain and Malcolm Gregory notching a win each.
The C team shocked third-placed Tidmarsh B in Division 2 by winning 6-4 to give themselves a lifeline in their bid to avoid relegation.
The E team still have outside hopes of promotion from Division 5 after maximums from Danny Dockree, Michael Legg and Anthony Reeve saw them dispatch Tidmarsh E 10-0.
At the other end of Division 5, the F team have only a slight mathematical chance of avoiding the drop despite winning 7-3 at bottom side Birch Copse B.
In Division 6, the G team need a win in their final game to see them promoted as division runners-up following their 7-3 win over BBC Club.
