THE seven teams of Sonning Common and Peppard continue to do battle across the Reading and District League.

The A team finally got off the mark in Division 1 with a vital win at Curzon Club A and victory in a tense club derby against the B team, Keith Swain and Malcolm Gregory both doing well.

The B team remain at the bottom and are still searching for their first point. Jeremy Willis took the step up from Division 2 in his stride and gained a maximum against the A team in their recent 4-6 defeat.

In Division 2 the C team have dropped into mid-table after a promising start, Matt Stone and Brian Meheux both getting singles in their recent 8-2 loss to Our Lady of Peace D.

The D team remain in the promotion race from Division 4 while the E and F teams are flirting with relegation but both gained good victories recently to keep them above the drop zone, Angus Jones and Matt Tarrant with trebles as the F team beat Tidmarsh E 7-3.

In Division 5 the G team have enjoyed two good wins to propel them up to mid-table. Phil Turton won all three alongside doubles from Harry Sayers and Thomas Perkins in their 8-2 win over BBC Club.
