Berry and Willis hit hat-tricks

THE Sonning Common and Peppard B team beat club mates Sonning Common and Peppard D 9-1

THE Sonning Common and Peppard B team beat club mates Sonning Common and Peppard D 9-1 in Division 2 of the Reading League last week.

The D team took an early lead through Alan Mollett’s closely fought victory over Brian Meheux, but hat-tricks from the B team’s Simon Berry and Jeremy Willis turned it around.

Tidmarsh B won a hard fought match at Sonning Common and Peppard E 7-3 thanks to a maximum from Jon Golding and two apiece from Mike Aistrop and Francois Durrand. Young Thomas Perkins starred with two good wins for the Sonning Common outfit.

Two wins from Matt Stone and singles for Danny Dockree and Jon Abbott saw Sonning Common and Peppard C hold Pangbourne WMC A to a 5-5 draw, Denise Weller with an impressive hat-trick for the Pangbourne side.

Chris Webb and Theresa Watson both got trebles as Tidmarsh E won 9-1 at Sonning Common and Peppard F in their opening Division 4 match, Jim McClure beating Steve Andrews 11-7, 11-5, 9-11, 2-11, 11-7 for Sonning Common.



A strong Sonning Common and Peppard G side were 8-2 winners at Milestone C with Mike Casserely starring with a treble alongside doubles from Dave Aust and Julian James.
