THE Sonning Common and Peppard A side picked up an 8-2 win at a two-man Curzon Club A side that remained rooted to the foot of the Reading and District League table last week with Gary Morgan unbeaten for Sonning Common. Meanwhile a 13-15, 11-8, 11-9, 6-11, 11-7 win by Steve Murgatroyd against Gary Morgan denied the A team both points from their match with Kingfisher D as they drew 5-5.

In Division 2 the B team remain on course for the title after beating the E team while Sonning Common and Peppard C were 6-4 winners against Kingfisher G. The result keeps the C team in third place.

Allen Mollett’s treble and two from Anthony Reeve helped Sonning Common and Peppard D towards a 7-3 derby win over Sonning Common and Peppard E in their vital Division 2 relegation tussle.

In Division 4 Dan Mortimer recorded a treble as Springfield B defeated Sonning Common and Peppard F 8-2, Nicholas Nowak winning twice for the losers.

Dave Aust was back to his best in Division 5 as his hat-trick helped Sonning Common and Peppard G win 7-3 at Springfield C.
