Lau and Ranson secure Caversham singles crowns

EDWIN Lau won the men’s singles title for the fourth time at Caversham Park Tennis Club’s annual tournament finals day.

Lau was taken the full distance by Ben Silvester-Ratcliffe in a high quality encounter.

Holly Ranson claimed the ladies’ singles crown after Laura Salinas finally succumbed to a knee injury.

The other singles champions were Alex Stronach who beat Vadim Lyakhovets to take the boys’ U18 title, Nathan Robinson who overcame the challenge of Jovan Singh Mattu in the U14 open and Lily Trung who claimed the U12 open singles title.
