Players are revisiting Rattigan

REHEARSALS are under way for the Henley Players’ forthcoming production of Terence Rattigan’s 1944 play Love in Idleness at the Kenton Theatre.

Players spokesman Gráinne Harling said: “Love in Idleness is another of Rattigan’s classic comedy dramas stylishly brimming with his trademark wit, humour and humanity, as shown in the 2017 West End revival. The playwright was living in the Henley area between 1945 and 1946 when he wrote one of his greatest successes, The Winslow Boy, previously performed by the Henley Players to some acclaim, as was their recent production of After the Dance at the Kenton, and they are again hoping that Rattigan is as popular with Henley as Henley was with Rattigan.”

Love in Idleness is playing from March 20 to 23. For tickets and times, call (01491) 575698 or visit www.kentontheatre.co.uk
