A TRADITIONAL tale with a modern twist promises to bring some magic to Christmas this year at South Hill Park’s production of Snow White.

The panto will be performed in the intimate setting of the Wilde Theatre, and will include original music, breathtaking illusions and lots of laughs.

Ron McAllister, chief executive of the arts centre and composer of this year’s pantomime, said: “We are delighted to welcome Julian Hirst back to direct his second pantomime here. All the traditional ingredients will be there in Snow White, and with Julian’s expertise in illusion (as anyone who saw his work on Dracula by Blackeyed Theatre will testify). You can expect a few surprises and gasps along the way. I have been putting the final touches to the vocal harmonies for the show, including a few challenges for our experienced cast, and I am hoping audiences will enjoy singing along.”

* Snow White runs from Saturday November 30 to Saturday, January 4. For tickets call 01344 484123 or visit www.southhillpark.org.uk
