THE theatre company behind Henley’s summer Shakespeare is tackling the story of “Reading’s buried king” — at the site where he is thought to be buried.
Reading Between the Lines is staging Beth Flintoff’s new play Henry I of England at St James Church in Abbot’s Walk, Reading. Built within the ruins of Reading Abbey, this is believed to be the last resting place of Henry — who was the youngest son of William the Conqueror but got nothing when his father announced his successor.
The play is showing until Saturday, November 19. For tickets and times, visit www. readingbetweenthelines.co.uk
