WOODCOTE village hall is preparing itself for an onslaught of pirates, swords and damsels in distress as rehearsals for the annual panto gather pace.

This year’s production by the Woodcote Amateur Dramatic Society is Robinson Crusoe And The Pirates, written by Alan Frayn and produced by Marcia Spiers and Sandy Worsfold.

The action is set in Rio de Janeiro and audiences are promised a colourful evening of fun and singalong music. Well-dressed pirates are welcome, and there will be a prize for the best outfit at each performance.

The show runs on Saturday and Sunday, January 26 and 27, and Friday and Saturday, February 1 and 2.
