A comedy take on the world of Jane Austen

JANE Austen as you have never seen her before — an audacious claim!

JANE Austen as you have never seen her before — an audacious claim!

With a sell-out tour behind them the producers of Austentatious: An Improvised Jane Austen Novel return to Norden Farm to make good on that statement.

The play is an improvised comedy based on the witty style of the romantic novelist, paying homage to her sensibility and comic writings.

The show, an irreverent take on the world of Austen, is devised entirely on audience suggestions, guaranteeing that no two performances are ever the same. The cast perform in period costume with a live musical accompaniment.

Austentatious has been one of the most talked about shows on the comedy circuit over the last few years.

It has won a Chortle Award for best improv and has been featured on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4.

The cast features a host of top comedy performers and actors, who have appeared on stage, screen and radio.

This includes Cariad Lloyd and Rachel Parris, who recently performed at Norden Farm. Join the Austentatious troupe for an evening of Jane Austen as it has never been seen before, in a show never to be repeated! Austentatious appears at Norden Farm on Sunday, February 7, at 8pm. Tickets are £14. Box office on 01628 788997 or go online
