JEEVES and Wooster return to the area in the show Perfect Nonsense.

The Olivier award-winning production is a new play adapted from the works of PG Wodehouse and stars Robert Webb as Bertie Wooster.

Webb is reprising his role from the West End hit which sees a weekend in the country take a turn for the worse. Naturally faithful valet Jeeves is on hand to lend a hand during the ensuing chaos. Webb is best known for his Channel 4 show Peep Show alongside David Mitchell. He is also a favourite on TV panel shows. Jeeves is played by Jason Thorpe, who recently appeared on the National Theatre stage in From Morning to Midnight, and on screen in Primeval and Charles Dicken’s Little Dorrit.

Christopher Ryan, well known for his parts in the iconic television shows The Young Ones and Absolutely Fabulous, is cast as butler Seppings.

Perfect Nonsense was named best new comedy at last year’s Olivier Awards and the show has played to rave reviews in London.

It arrives at Oxford Playhouse on February 10 and plays until February 14.

Tickets start at £14 and are available from the box office on 01865 305305 or book online at
