THE 2013 Top Dog winners are urging owners to enter their pets in this year’s competition.
Last year’s overall winner was Rory, a cross between a bearded collie and a border collie, owned by Joyce Marriott, from Pyrton.
Mrs Marriott said: “I would absolutely recommend anyone to enter. It’s a nice way of celebrating what dogs bring into our lives. You don’t have to have a pedigree, they can be any size and breed.
“It was lovely to see everyone there on the night with their dogs and it was a really good evening.”
Rory was rescued by Mrs Marriott when he was 14 months old and used to suffer separation anxiety. She spent two years helping him get over his problems and now he visits schools, care homes and community groups to raise money for Stokenchurch Dog Rescue.
