After the floods... return of roadworks

DRIVERS coming into Henley are facing more disruption due to roadworks.

Gas main replacement work began in Greys Road on Monday and is scheduled to last up to 12 weeks.

But town councillor Will Hamilton, who lives in Greys Road, says the sub-contractor hopes to finish sooner.

The work comes on top of emergency sewer repairs being carried out in West Street for up to two weeks.

Councillor Hamilton, who is on the council’s traffic advisory group, said: “It’s going to be a nuisance but we just have to live with it. It’s better to do it now rather than when it’s regatta time.”
