Bix repairs delayed due to Reading Festival

REPAIRS to Bix Hill have been delayed again.

REPAIRS to Bix Hill have been delayed again.

The north-west bound section of the A4130, between the junction with the B480 at Lower Assendon and the cross-road near Bix Manor was originally due to be closed for two weeks from Monday (August 5).

A clash with roadworks on a diversion route in Caversham forced a delay until August 19 but now the work has been deferred until October at the earliest because traffic problems would be caused by overlaps with other events, including Reading Festival.

It is possible the repairs could even be delayed until next spring when both carriageways are due to be repaired and roadside drainage improved.
