A LORRY caused chaos after its trailer fell off in Reading Road, Henley, on Friday.

A LORRY caused chaos after its trailer fell off in Reading Road, Henley, on Friday.

The Masons Carnival Funfair lorry, which was on its way to Market Place for the Christmas Festival, dropped the trailer while negotiating the bend at the junction with Station Road.

Queues built up and drivers were forced to squeeze through a small gap next to the lorry for about 15 minutes while carnival staff reattached the trailer.

The lorry driver, who refused to give his name, said: “We were just going round the bend and it came off. That can happen on articulated lorries when you go round a corner.”
