THE roadworks in Henley town centre are said to be progressing well and should be completed on time.
Greys Road has been closed between Duke Street and Deanfield Avenue since February 2 so that a main gas pipe can be upgraded. The work is expected to take up to 10 weeks. A diversion is in place and the Greys Road entrance to Greys Road car park is shut.
Town and county councillor David Nimmo Smith said: ?The roadworks are going to be finished on time and I haven?t been told of any problems. I?ve even had people complimenting me on the way the contactors have been working. They?ve been very clean and tidy.
?Over half term the traffic has been a lot better and these last few weeks people have managed to either not come into town or to find another way round.?
