ANGRY Henley commuters hit out at British Rail this week because of alterations in services which include the axing of daily through trains to Paddington. Sunday services from Henley will be discontinued in the winter. The moves, which will take effect from January 5 next year, were announced on Monday. Passengers to Paddington will now have to change at Twyford.

Henley Town Council is to wait until after the public meeting on the planned new one-way system before it sends its observations on the plans to Oxfordshire County Council. It would see Reading Road from the Station Road junction to Duke Street, along with Duke Street itself, become one-way, traffic travelling towards the town centre.
