WATLINGTON post office will open at its new location on March 6 at 1pm.
It is to move from the High Street across the road to the Midcounties Co-operative store in Couching Street.
The current branch will close on March 4 at 12.30pm.
During the transfer the nearest alternative branch will be in Chinnor.
The Post Office announced the decision to move the branch in November following a public consultation exercise.
It says the new post office will be a “local”-style branch with much longer opening hours.
Post office services will be available from two open-plan tills at the shop counter from Monday to Sunday, 6am to 11pm. That is a total of 119 hours a week, 73 more than at present.
The Post Office said the earlier opening and later closing was designed to make it more convenient for customers.
There will also be level access with a wide automatic door whereas the current branch has a step.
The move is part of a modernisation programme across the Post Office network.
