Caversham WI

Caversham WI

OUR WI is alive and well and under new management.

Things didn’t look too happy after our annual meeting in March, when the president, secretary and treasurer, all very long-standing officers, took the inevitable step of standing down and retiring from WI duties.

At the time it was very difficult to find three new officers and a working committee. Action was needed!

A meeting with a WI advisor resulted in an intensive advertising campaign.

All our hard work through the summer has paid off and, hurrah, at an extraordinary meeting chaired by Ann Knee-Robinson, WI advisor, a new committee was formed and three new officers were elected.

Claire Elliott is president, Romayne Flight is secretary and Pam Edwards treasurer.May Caversham WI continue to prosper and all its members enjoy their newly transformed group.

If any ladies would like to join our WI, they would be most welcome.

We meet at Church House in Prospect Street, Caversham, on the third Thursday of the month, starting at 7.30pm.

If you are interested, please call Romayne Flight on 0118 947 5176 or simply turn up on the night.
