Why we may collect information about you

No metatags hyperlinks or other forms of linkage whatsoever to any other site may be imposed on this Website without our express written consent.

We make no warranty in respect of the contents of the Websites and accepts no liability for any loss or damage whatsoever and however arising whether directly or indirectly as a result of access to and use of the Websites including without limitation acting or failing to act in reliance on any information contained herein.

The Websites, and in Particular the Noticeboards, contain material submitted by third parties. In using the Noticeboards you accept that we do not pre-monitor or pre-edit posts on the Noticeboards (see further details of terms relating to use and definition of the Noticeboards below).

The Websites contain advertising material submitted by third partied. Individual advertisers are solely responsible for the content of material they submit to us, including ensuring that it complies with all relevant legislation and self-regulatory codes of practice. We do not accept any responsibility for the content of advertising material (see below for our terms and conditions of acceptance of advertisements).

The Henley Standard shall use reasonable endeavours to ensure the the Sites, the Interactive Services and any information it holds on you are kept secure. However, due to the nature of the Internet, we cannot accept any liability for those who intentionally attempt to and/or gain unauthorised access to the same by means such as, without limitation, computer hacking (save to the extent the Henley Standard is unable to exclude such liability by law).


Where you are asked to complete a registration form the personal details that you provide must be true, accurate and complete.

Variation of Terms

The Henley Standard reserves the right to vary this Agreement from time to time. Such changes shall either be notified to you by e-mail or posted on the home pages of the Site. Changes in this manner shall be deemed to have been accepted if you continue to use the Sites and/or the Interactive Services after a period of two weeks from the date of transmission of the e-mail or of posting on the home page of the Sites, whichever occurs later.

Licence to copy for personal use: you may print copies of any item in hard copy provided that it is for personal use or for use by others in your organisation and provided that you do not edit, alter, amend, or delete any part of it or combine it with other material. You may recopy the material to individual third parties for their personal information only if you acknowledge the source as being our Website and include the address of the Henley Standard Website ( in the copy of the material AND you inform the third party that they may not copy the material to any third party or use it for commercial gain.

Conditions of access to and use of the Henley Standard Noticeboards

By using the Noticeboards you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. "We" and "us" means the Henley Standard. "Noticeboards" means any area of any Website owned, operated and controlled by us which allows for you to post Content including by way of contributing to online discussions or forums on the Websites and "Content" means any information data, text, image, graphics, message, or other material posted or intended to be posted to the Noticeboards.

1, You must be over 18 to register for and use the Noticeboards. Your email address, username and password are personal to you; you must not allow anyone else to use them and you must not impersonate any other user of the site or do anything to assist an unregistered user to gain access to the Noticeboards.

2, Use of the Noticeboards is restricted to personal use as a private individual and Noticeboards must not be used to conduct any form of business or trade. Users must not attempt to pass themselves off as other users.

3, You warrant agree and undertake that you shall not post e-mail, transmit any Content which is or may be unlawful, indecent, offensive, harmful, threatening, abusive, vulgar, defamatory or violent or which breaches the copyright or other intellectual property rights, moral rights or any other rights of any third party and that you have secured all necessary permissions licences and consents in respect of any Content uploaded or posted by you.

4. Without prejudice to any other rights we may have at law or under this Agreement, we reserve the right to exclude you from the Henley Standard Noticeboards at our sole discretion and without notifying you of any reason therefor. We reserve the right to disclose your identity and personal details to the police or other appropriate regulatory or enforcement bodies or other third parties at our sole discretion.

5. You acknowledge and agree that in providing the Henley Standard Noticeboards we are acting as a passive conduit and that we do not act as publishers of any of the material posted there. In particular, you accept that we do not review, edit, moderate or amend material before it is posted. Users should report immediately any material which they believe may be in breach of our Terms of Use. We do not undertake any liability or obligation with regard to any Content and you therefore enter at your own risk. We reserve the right (but do not undertake to) at our sole discretion to remove, delete or amend Content. This is without prejudice to our rights at law, all of which are specifically reserved.

6. We reserve the right to disclose your identity and personal details to the police or other appropriate regulatory or enforcement bodies or other third parties at our sole discretion.

7. You acknowledge agree and undertake that you shall be legally responsible for any Content placed by you in respect of any legal proceedings worldwide and you agree and undertake to indemnify us and keep us at all times fully indemnified from and against any claims, demands, costs, damages or awards whatsoever arising directly or indirectly as a result of Content placed by you on the Noticeboards.

You acknowledge and accept that the nature of the Internet means that your use of the Noticeboards may put your computer at risk of being infected by a computer virus, worm. cookie or other manner of electronic program which may impair or destroy the working of your computer and any data held in it and you therefore agree that your use of the Noticeboards is entirely at your own risk.

7. These terms and conditions are in addition to our General Terms of Access and Use (above) all of which shall continue to apply and be binding in respect of your use of any part of the Websites including the Noticeboards.

Henley Pages Terms and Conditions

The Publisher will, at its sole discretion, make up to three amendments per calendar year to the design or content of Advert listings on Henley, free of charge.

The fourth and any further amendments will be charged for at a rate of £30 per hour (pro rata) depending on the time taken to execute them. Rectifications necessitated by negligence or mistake on the part of the Publisher will not be charged for.

The Publisher reserves the right at all times to levy a charge for any major amendments.

Henley Standard Competition Terms and Conditions

Any competitions included on our Sites are only open to UK and Isle of Man residents.

No cash alternative is available.

The winners will be the first correct and valid entries drawn from the entries received by the closing date. The draw will be supervised by an independant observer.

The promoter accepts no liability for entries lost, damaged or delayed in the post.

Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.

The promoter cannot be held responsible if tickets do not reach the winner(s) and the promoter accepts no liability for tickets won in the promotion being lost, delayed or damaged in the post.

The winner(s) may be asked, but not required, to take part in publicity.

Only one entry per person is permitted.

Employees of the Henley Standard and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

Any personal information collected will be used only for the purposes of this promotion, unless otherwise specified.
